Coffee at a local hilltop

August is here and I feel autumn coming closer with every breath I take. The air is already different. A little bit colder and more damp, and in the early hours of morning a thin mist covers the lake where I live. I’ve had a hectic summer with a lot of work, life changing events and travels.

I was in need of winding down and so last Saturday me and a couple of friends headed up a small hill to enjoy the view. We brought coffee, cookies, sandwiches and even a bottle of bubbly. It was nice to sit amongst the fir trees, catching up on things and doing nothing in particular.

This was also a perfect time for me to try out my new bag from Millican. It’s a bit bigger than my previous one and it has a separate compartment in the bottom for camera gear. For an outdoorsy photographer like myself, this is simply perfect! I’ll make an in-depth guide about it and my packing later on, but oh man does it feel nice to easily fit my gear in the bottom and fill the top with extra clothes or other essentials and 0f course some coffee and snacks!

The side compartments are perfect for my water bottle from Klean Kanteen as well as my tripod, and it matches perfectly with my adventurous enamel mug, don’t you think? If you have any questions regarding my gear or thoughts on what to wear – don’t hesitate to ask!

Anyways, if you follow me on Instagram, you know I recently spent a week in Switzerland enjoying great food, to travel by train through the amazing Swiss landscape, hiking in the mountains and I even tried some downhill mountain biking. I cannot wait to tell you more about all of this and show you some photos so stay tuned!
