Walking in a winter wonderland
Everything is white and the snow is heavy on the trees. It’s the most beautiful week so far this winter and Leanne from Pine and Peak could not have chosen a better time to pay me a visit.
The thermometer shows -15 so we dress up with woolen base layers and thick winter jackets before heading out. It’s so cold that frost forms in our hair. The snow squeaks under our boots as we thread through the forest talking about nature, the outdoor lifestyle and running a business as a photographer and a blogger.
Leanne lives in the UK but I still consider her a colleague of mine. She’s madly in love with Sweden and this is the first time she experiences it during winter – I send a silent prayer of thanks to Mother Earth and the forces of nature for creating such a magical winter wonderland just in time for her arrival here.
Life as a freelancer can be a lonely one but through social media I have formed so many amazing relationships with people I am now happy to call my friends and colleagues. When we take the time to meet it’s always in a great mix of outdoor activities, photography sessions and business talk infront of a fireplace, usually with a large pot of hot coffee always by our side.
When Leanne left I felt full of new energy, inspiration and ideas for my business and the new year, and I am pretty sure she left feeling quite the same way. I just need to organize all the new thoughts and ideas in order to be able to put them into action!
Thank you for a wonderful week ❤️
