Last year I spent many weekends in the deep forests of Uppsala, foraging mushrooms with Elles Utemat who’s quite the expert on edible fungi: what they look like, where to find them and most importantly what to do with them. I got to see her feel, smell and taste a huge variety of mushrooms that I never would’ve thought to be edible – and I got to taste wonderful food made from recipes that came to life in her tiny cabin in the woods.
These recipes have finally come together in the book ‘Svampbok för Matälskare’!
So, as the mushroom season has begun and fall is approaching – this might be one of the most important books to add to your library. Elle has written and all the food photography and photos of her foraging are taken by me. It’s been so much fun working on this with her and it feels amazing to have a book published with Calazo, the biggest outdoor publishing company in the nordic countries!
