Welcome!

My name is Rania

I am a photographer and this is my online journal and creative outlet. It may contain traces of coffee and cats, mixed with photography and philosophical tangents.

After living in a big city dreaming about shooting fashion and interior for magazines, I left the hectic lifestyle behind and moved to the north. Now I live in a small town in a valley between two mountains, located in the north of Sweden.

Here I work as a freelancing photographer, content creator and educator, while trying to live slow staying present in the here and now.

I long for warmth and sun. Walking with my camera

I long for warmth and sun. Walking with my camera through a forest that smell of pine and sap, or wearing a dress and feeling grass under my bare feet.

This winter is honestly a bit depressing, I don't normally long to travel for sun but I might need to go someplace warm soon... But where?

This winter I have not been outside enjoying outdo

This winter I have not been outside enjoying outdoor activities or nature as much as I normally do. I'm trying to figure out why.

A combination of the weather constantly changing and things in life making me more tired than usual? Probably.

On top of that there's this weird pressure I feel that I Should be outside, and I Should share content of me being outside. That takes the fun out of it and I want nothing to do with it...

So, for now I stay inside delving deeper into other forms of art like pottery and sketching, and creating other types of photos.

Normally I really like winter but this year I feel a strong longing for spring.

This might be one of my favorite photos I've shot

This might be one of my favorite photos I've shot at @restaurant_naturaj. It's very minimalistic and the colors are very much in line with what I love and feel inspired by.

On top of that it's delicious sourdough bread on a stick, smoked with birch bark and served on a plate covered in moss. With smoked butter. What's not to love?

The restaurant is one of my recurring clients since a few years back and it's one of my favorite jobs. I get to be very creative and their food is so inspiring!
